LUXOLOGIST LURE:
Until 13 years ago, this property was a forgotten monastery situated in a gorgeous olive grove, overlooking Italy’s picturesque Lake Garda. Since then Jaana and her husband have transformed Villa Arcadio into an example of the height of Italian charm and hospitality, retaining the authenticity of the 16th century foundations with all of the elegance and comforts of a contemporary intimate retreat. Villa Arcadio comes highly recommended by our connoisseurs – whether you are on the lookout for the perfect romantic escape, planning a road trip through Italy or simply a lover of “la dolce vita”. Here you will rediscover a world of tranquility, savour Michelin-featured cuisine and have the good fortune to be welcomed into a magnificent home away from home.
GUEST EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS:
§ Stay in a reconstructed 16th Century monastery with original furnishings and frescos.
§ Tranquil grounds with extensive olive groves overlooking Lake Garda. This is the ideal place for a retreat, away from the crowds but close enough to key tourism sites.
§ Family developed and owned. This villa has been developed by the same couple who are running it today, lending it a cared-for and lived-in feeling. As a guest, you feel welcomed and at home.
§ An intimate estate with only 18 rooms (14 double rooms, 3 junior suites, 1 suite).
§ Inviting swimming pool overlooking the Villa’s olive groves, Lake Garda and the mountains.
§ The service: family leadership provides a high level of attentiveness and attention to detail, helpful reception staff, room cleaned regularly throughout the day.
§ Gastronomy: The very fresh, seasonal and regional produce coupled with a skillful culinary team results in well-presented, tasty menu options. Several exotic Italian delicacies are available complemented with local wines (The Bionda dell’ Adamello kid roasted with hay, cauliflower and Fatuli cheese fondant was exceptionally tender and presented a delicious blend of flavours). A large breakfast buffet also exceeded expectations (among the options include: delicious omelettes with fresh farm eggs, a selection of local meats and smoked salmon, fine goats cheese, jams and pastries, a range of fresh juices and sparkling wine).
§ Private spa area available upon request.
§ Underground parking.
INSIDER TIPS:
§ Ask for a room with the lake view (we recommend the suite).
§ Book the private spa area in the hotel along with a massage (Yoga and Pilates lessons are also available upon request).
§ Dine at the Villa’s restaurant and book a cooking course (available upon request).
§ A boat trip in a Riva Aquarama can be organized by the hotel and is highly recommended.

§ Hire mountain bikes from the Villa and cycle past the local Cyprus trees, olive groves and views of the lake.
§ Visit Sirmione, known as Lake Garda’s “pearl”. This area is home to a picturesque Italian village, a grand castle, ruins of an ancient roman villa and a renowned spa.
§ Take a 10-minute drive to Comincioli, which is famous for its olive oil (In the Guide Flos Olei 2018, this company received the highest ranking for its olive oil in the world – only 8 companies globally have reached this ranking).
